Review: Garnier Pure Active Energizing Scrub gel

Type of product: Face scrub/peeling
Brand: Garnier
Name of product: Garnier Pure Active Fruit Energy Energizing Scrub gel
Price: 45 kn
Where to purchase: almost everywhere
Rating: 3/10
Would I repurchase: Nope. I don't see any results and I dislike using it.
Opinion: Honestly, I can't wait until I finally use this product up. First of all, the packaging is horrible, the product spills out and it's hard to get the dosage you want. I don't notice any effects on my skin. Don't get me wrong - it doesn't do any damage, but also it does nothing for me. The gel contains little ''sand'' particles, that are almost impossible to remove. I have to wash my face 3 times to get the white dust off. So when you have to rub your face 3 times in a row to get rid of this product, you leave your face pretty irritated. When I purchased this product, I was looking for a good scrub/face peeling. This isn't it. For me, the little particles inside the gel are too small. I like the smell of the product, though, but that's the only thing I like.
Conclusion: Meh, I'm not feeling this product. There are better products out there.
I feel like I've been away from my blog for so long - but I've had a few busy weeks and got a little blog-lazy. But I have some really great make-up reviews coming up, so thanks for stopping by, and see you guys soon. Did any of you try this product out? The reason it's taking me so long to use it up is because I just hate using it. I'll do my very best to use what's left so I can purchase a new product - hopefully one that I'm happy with, and one that I'm excited to use. Anyways, until next time.

Avon: Random Products Reviews

Hey ladies! Today I have for you a few Avon reviews; some jewelry, body, hair products, etc...very random. I only started buying stuff from Avon recently, and I really got hooked. I love buying through catalogues. Anyways, let's get to it!

Virginia Watch
This is the first piece of jewelry I bought from Avon. It's a rose-gold large watch. Naturally, since my hand is very small, I had to shorten the bracelet so it would fit me. The price is around 165 kn (but the prices of products change with each catalogue). I'm very happy with this watch - it looks awesome, it's very bold, and I think the quality is good. Luckily it's not heavy, so it's easy to carry. I love how the rose-gold matches my skin tone. I can't say anything bad, I'm really enjoying this piece of jewelry. 10/10

Avon Senses, Garden of Eden, body scrub
This body scrub is not a strong peeling - it's just your shower gel with tiny beads inside. I love the smell, but I'm still looking for a more ''aggressive'' product. The whole Garden of Eden collection smells amazing - a delicate mix of fruits and flowers. The bottle opens and closes easily, so it's convenient to use in the shower (I hate products that are difficult to open - I don't want to break a nail). This costs 13 kn for 200 ml. 9/10

Avon Naturals, Moisturising Hair Treatment Mask
Avocado & Macadamia
I love the smell of this mask, avocado smells great on my hair, it reminds me of a summer vacation. This hair mask is easy to use, and makes my hair smooth. I see a positive effect, it makes my hair easy to shape after I wash it, and not frizzy at all. Basically it gives you the result you might get from a very strong conditioner. This was about 20 kn, I rate it 9/10.

Avon Naturals, Daily Hair Refresher, Cherry Blossom
This product smells amazing, it's not too strong, so don't worry about that. It doesn't last the whole day, only a few hours. I spray this on my hair those days when I'm not wearing perfume. It doesn't do anything in terms of care, it's just a nice smell. It's a fun product, sort of a perfume for your hair, if you will. It's a fun, but sadly useless product. I still enjoy it very much, even though it doesn't have any other purpose (other than the scent). It was about 20 kn. I don't think I would repurchase. However, it does the job it claims to do, so I'll give it an 8/10.

Avon, only imagine...
Funny story, I got this perfume without knowing what it smells like. I saw the photo of it, and I thought the bottle looked adorable, so I couldn't say no. Luckily for me, I adore the scent. It's very light, which is perfect, because it doesn't give me a headache. Before this perfume I really hadn't used any perfumes in a long time, I just wasn't feeling it. I'm now back in love with this type of product, and I'm getting some other Avon perfumes. All in all, the bottle is adorable, and the smell is great, but really, this is a matter of personal reference; so don't take chances like me, and know what you buy (since Avon catalogues come with lots of perfume samples). I'm in love with this one, I payed only 39 kn. 10/10.

If you want to check out the latest Avon catalogue (for Croatia), go HERE.
Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to share with me your experiences with Avon.

These Nails Suck - But So Does The Finale Of HIMYM

Products used for this look:
Smart girls get more, no.36 - this polish is watery, but it shows you how a brand doesn't mean anything because this polish is light years better than the Maybelline green from this post. I'm wearing 3 coats, but 2 are enough. Downside - it's slow drying, but the finish is amazing - it's very smooth. I have this polish a long time, and the texture is still great. SGGM has some good polishes.
Maybelline COLORAMA, Neons, no.190 - what you're seeing on these pictures are 3 layers - and it's still transparent. I was wearing a base coat, and this horrible polish STILL painted my nails green! Disgusting. It has a matte finish, and is long lasting, but I would not recommend this polish. I got it on sale for less than a euro, so that's fine. I might use it over some other green polish, but never again solo. One of the worst polishes I've ever tried.

Now, let's talk about the How I Met Your Mother finale. I wanted to wait a while so that everyone had time to find out what had happened, so that noone would be upset because there were
SPOILERS.
Honestly, if you by now do not know how the show ended, it's not my fault you live under a rock.

So, Ted Mosby turned out to be a creep, pervert, psychopath, and (probably) murderer. He was obsessed with a woman (Robin) that wanted nothing to do with him - she refused to have kids with him (I guess she didn't love him enough), and she slept with his best friend - he even watched them get married. So he finds some poor chick, gets her pregnant, uses her to have kids (but never even likes her). When the kids are old enough (they're no longer babies, because Robin hates children), he kills his wife off (most likely), and then as soon as she's dead, gets back the chick he always wanted. Disgusting.
Yeah yeah, I know I'm exaggerating (obviously), but seriously, what the hell???!!!
I think the whole show was wrongly marketed - I think the title of the show was misleading. You know, when someone asks their father ''how did you meet our mother'' - than the father usually tells them the story of how he met their mother. He does not use the opportunity to tell them how he wants to bang their aunt. And how he doesn't give a shit about their mother. I mean, the scenario of how the kids are OK with this - it would never happen in real life. His kids would detest him.
I mean, those poor kids just wanted to know how he met their mother - and he won't even give them that. He spends his time talking about how he really loved another person the whole time (even if she never liked him at all), how he only used their mother as a baby-making machine, and is asking his kids' permission to f*** someone else.
Ted and Robin probably killed the mother together. Ted got his kids (which was what he wanted), and Robin gets Ted and doesn't have to lose her good figure. So gross. The show should have been called ''How I killed your mother and now I'll ask you to support me while I f*** that bitch that helped me get rid of your mom (most likely)''. The whole show made us think that it will be a story about how a couple got together, but really, it's a story about a guy who has kids with some sorry girl he hates, and he can't wait until she's dead so he can f*** other people.
Gross.
Leave your thoughts below, and let me know what you think. Are you disappointed? Do you think Ted is a murderer? Do you think he ever even loved the mother or was he just using her as a baby making machine? Do you think Robin is the greatest slut that ever lived? Do you think the show will now be hated amongst all the previous fans? Let me know.

Thanks for stopping by,

love, Jelena

Micellar Solutions War: Garnier Or L'Oreal ?

Happy Sunday! So I know everyone's been going crazy over micellar solutions, so I thought I might share my opinion and recommend one of these. My experience with micellar solutions is very positive, and I can't imagine make-up removal without them. They have changed my make-up routine.
Type of products: Micellar Solutions
Names of products:  Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water;  L'Oreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution
Prices:  Garnier - 29kn (400ml); L'oreal - 42kn (200ml)
Where to purchase:  all beauty stores (best price probably DM)
Rating:  both 9/10 - Garnier gets a better review because of the better price
Would I repurchase: Yes to Garnier. I wouldn't repurchase L'Oreal because I get more for my money with Garnier.
Opinion: I mean, I've been reading how some bloggers spot a difference between these two products. I can honestly say I don't see it - they seem to do the same job for me. I use them to remove make up from my face and eyes, and also to clean my make up brushes if I'm in a hurry. I prefer Garnier - better price, double the amount of product and I like the packaging way better. It will last you a long time and it does a great job. I've also had Bioderma, but for the price of Garnier's product, Bioderma only gives you 100ml - and they do the same job, so I think my student budget prefers Garnier.
Conclusion: I recommend Garnier. They are all the same to me basically, so why not get more for your money? I can say Garnier easily removes all my make up, so because it has such a great price, I will continue to use it.
I've also tried Vichy (doesn't do much for me, it's like water). Have you tried any other micellar solutions? Which one is your personal favorite? Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to follow me.

Nude And Gold - Nail Look For A Lady

Products used in this look:
1 x Eveline 8in1 Total action - base coat (I do not recommend this product)
2 x Maybelline Colorama no.254 (My favorite of the season, I wear it all the time)
1 x essence studio nails top sealer (I only applied it over the water decals - this product is perfection - 10/10)
Essence nail art express dry drops (Great product, helps my mani dry quicker)
Water Decals: N.NAIL Golden Dots And Stars Pattern Nail Water Decals [NNAIL-WDHHC046-Gold] from KKCenterHk
Link to the product: HERE
I cannot explain how much I am in love with these water decals. They're so easy to use, and they're long lasting, but also they look so amazing. These gold water decals have become my favorite KKCenterHk product so far. I think they look exquisite and elegant. When I wear them I can't stop staring at my nails. I'm so happy with this product - rating: 100/100.

What do you think of these nails? Do you like wearing nude nails? Are you more of a gold or a silver person? Don't forget to follow me on Facebook.

love, Jelena

***KKCenterHk has sent me the water decals for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Review: Essence Blush Brush - Bloom me up! Collection

Type of product: Stippling make-up brush
Brand: essence, limited edition, bloom me up!
Name of product: blush brush, 01 chaising lacy
Price: 26 kn (3 euro)
Where to purchase: dm (sold out in Muller)
Rating: 10/10
Would I repurchase: Yes.
Opinion: I was going back and fourth with this one (if I need it or not). When I got to Muller they were already sold out, so I was surprised when I saw it in Dm. I picked it up and I'm so glad I didn't miss out on it. So far I've used it to apply blush, and it's amazing. It's very easy to control what the bristles do, so it would be great for contouring as well. The bristles are very dense and the brush is compact. I've washed it and it holds up well, surprisingly it dries fast considering how much hair there is. Oh yeah, and the brush comes with a little 'brush guard', so it's easy to store it when you're traveling.
Conclusion: This is a great little product. If you're looking for a stippling brush, or a precise blush brush - this is for you. Get it while they're here, because these sell out fast (that's why I've warned you ladies about it on my twitter). I'm so glad essence came out with this product, because a brush of this shape can be difficult to find in regular stores.
What essence says about this product: ''Thanks to its extremely fine bristles, this brush picks up blush particles perfectly and transfers them all to your cheeks. The straight shape of the brush makes application really easy and it’s ideal for shading and modeling the contours of your face. The bright pink adds a cheerful touch of color to the world.''
Check out the entire collection HERE and HERE.
So, is this brush for you? Will you grab one? Do you already have a stippling brush and what do you use it for? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to follow me!

Black Widow Spider Nail Look

Hey everyone! This look was inspired by the colors on the black widow spider. I can honestly say, since working on this for a few years, I'm not afraid of spiders, but I am not comfortable when a big one decides to move into my home. But still, they do a lot of good (unless they bite you and you die hehe), so this look is for all my spider friends - please stay in my garden, thanks. LOL

Products used for this look:
Index and Middle: essence, nail art stampy polish, matt, 002 stamp me! black (10/10)
KKCenterHk product: N.NAIL 2.5mm Circle Glitter in Gold (NNAIL-HSA1-2-5mm), available HERE (10/10)
My review of this product HERE
Ring: Catrice, LE Rocking Royals, C05 Of Royal Blood, (10/10)
Catrice, LE Rocking Royals, Velvet Nail Powder, C01 Of Royal Blood (10/10, loving it!)
Small: Catrice, LE Rocking Royals, C05 Of Royal Blood (matte polish)  (10/10)
If you're wondering where my thumb is, I've slammed it a while ago and now I have a weird dent on it. It will take some time to grow out, but if it looks weird on pictures, I just don't feature it. What do you think of this look? Are you into velvet nails? They're so cute and fuzzy, I love them <3 Thanks for stopping by,

xoxo, Jelena
